| Origin of San Juan and Olazabal Palace |
|
Juan de Olazabal was registrar in the court of Felipe IV and General Accountant in the Inquisition when he constructed his palace. It is a typical manor house of the 17th century, with stone sections for the main facade, where the entrance and the forged iron balconies on the main floor with the coats of arms of the Olazabal family are found.
The upper section of the facade is noteworthy, in the form of protruding wooden eaves decorated according to the tastes of the time. We must mention the increasing interest with which the palace gardens were decorated from this time, as shown by magnolia planted opposite the rear facade.
